And since choom yam is our guest, this entry will be full of his pictures =P

Welcome Mr Yam!

He did a sharing of living a life with the Holy Spirit with the potential members yesterday. One of the potential members brought 3 other visitors too. It was a great session as some of the people are visibly moved when we prayed for them. Please continue to pray with us that we will see the new people being connected to our family.

Last week, 2 of our regular visitors also received Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour! They of them came for a long time and they finally gave their lives to Christ. Oh random… remember my previous entry about the coloumbian? He joined us in our CG meeting together with his wife. We are so glad to have them and a little bit of “culture shock”. Cos they are bubbling with life and expressive people… Pray with us that we can connect them too =)

I normally have private english lesson Julio (the man below) and choom yam came along today. Below is Julio’s house.

hmm… choom yam looks like the owner of this house.

Julio drove us around the city and we gave him a birthday treat. After that, we met Carlos to visit the Saint Cristobal hill. We actually took 2 hours to climb up the hill!

Everyone thinks that choom yam is very young. Yesterday, one of the girls guessed that he is 18!! Carlos guessed that he is 21 and Julio guessed that he is 23 or 25! Unbelievable… so if you want to feel young, COME CHILE!

Our national hobby – empanadas y monte con huesila (a drink with peach and corn)

and ice cream! Actually this was our second ice cream for the day…

A Day of Workout

Today is a public holiday in Chile. We invited 3 guys and 1 gal to our house today. Started the day with a sharing on what is worship and after that we went out of the house for a picnic. The weather was great. It was sunny yet not humid.

We sat under a tree at the park and played some games. I taught them how to play panic and they said that I was violent… hehee… some things dont change… We played captain’s ball, “touch ruby”, soccer and poison ball… nearly died of exhaustion.. it was fun nevertheless… After that, cindy and I went to jog for 30 minutes! We are preparing for the 10km nike marathon that we are joining… this is a day of intensive workout and losing weight!

Updates

I am such a lazy word presser, whichever word you call it =P

No ganas/motivation to update … I have asked Dennis to help me get a camera from Singapore (cos its cheaper over there), hopefully I’ll be able to post up some nice pictures soon

It has just turned spring, the weather and scenery is beautiful. I can’t help but be in awe of God’s creation especially so when i jog at the park near our house. I always wish that I have a camera with me to capture the scenery. I will make it a point to jog twice a week – healthy living!  As its spring, the trees, grass and flowers are of beautiful colors and the park is surrounded by mountains… Every time when i jog, I’m reminded that if God cares to so painstakingly clothe these flowers & trees , how much more will he take care of me =) Oh I have a new jogging “ka kee”, Cindy Ng!! She is a new jogging convert =) Our team may be joining a 10km Nike marathon… its nice to get the Nike t-shirt…hahaha…

I went to the immigration to do my visa yesterday. I went very early but still I had to wait in a very long queue to get my number. There was a man standing in front of me. Just then i felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to talk to him. But I felt kind of uncomfortable and I wanted to read my book instead.  I was reading a book about Billy Graham on evangelism, what an irony =P

Finally, I decided to obey and started to initiate a conversation with the man. It was quite good as he ended up helping me with all the inquires and stuffs about my visa cos everything was in spanish. Through him, i got to know 2 other people from Uruguay and that man said that he would join us for our meeting. He is a catholic. Well, i thought that if i had not obeyed, I would not have known these people and I think i will have a harder time at the immigration as well. This is always a continual lesson for me… obedience despite feelings!
