This entry is dedicated to my dear shepherd….

Thanks for

  • stepping out in faith and courage to lead the youth
  • spending countless hours in preparing the word and prayer (the behind scene that no one sees)
  • giving us such a captivating and “God” vision
  • being my listening ears
  • empowering me. You’ve given me lots of room to grow and lead
  • your wisdom and advise. I always feel uplifted simply by sharing with you.
  • your love, your presence and your friendship

I am grateful to God for a friend, shepherd and leader like you 😀

PM

Blog this down before i forget..

Today during the PM, Mabel shared about believing God for miracles. Miracles are based on God’s truth and not on feelings. Then Christie prophecised that God wants to remind us that we should come before Him humbly to seek Him. Many times as leaders we are so used to praying for others, solving problems that we become self dependent. We forgot what it means to knee before God and humbly ask someone to pray for us. God wants us to come and receive from Him humbly, He wants to give us a new anointing. A fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Ps Dinah prayed for me. Actually she spoke in tongues for quite sometime. Somehow i could feel the message when she spoke in tongues. I felt in my spirit that God said that He is mighty, He is strong and able. Depend on him… some where along those line. Then she gave me a verse from Rom 4:17 …”God calls things that are not as though they were…” God wants to lead me beyond my comfort zones and beyong the experiences I had in the past. When difficulties happen, always remember this phrase. Have faith in Him.

Hmm… frankly, as the date of departure draws nearer, i feel more and more inadequate. Occassionaly, i will question God if He has gotten the right person. I’m really encouraged by that verse… God calls things that are not as though they were! God called Abraham as the Father of many nations when he was baren. God specialises in transforming nothing to something!

The other time, Peter Troug prophesied over me that I am a person of faith. With faith, the mountains can be moved.

Come what may, God is there!

Ok God, I will hang on to Your promise and You are my guarantor!

Oh man … i have been eating alot recently. The logic is “I’m leaving soon thus I won’t get to eat all this food.” haha.. This is the excuse that I have been giving myself. And the people around me have been reiterating the same thing too. My dad loves to cook and recently, he cooked alot of food for dinner due to the reason above. Last night, I had curry chicken, fried eggs with prawns and tomatoes, fried kai lan, stewed beef and drunken prawns! Can you believe that? All these for 3 people in the family! Scary…. Shirls says that if this goes on, I’ll need 2 tickets to Chile…hahaaa

My sister has gone to Perth too with her husband. She sent me a very sweet email and she said that my crown will be gigantic in heaven….hahaaa… i hope so…

Charmaine mentioned this statement during the tent making course that makes me contemplate. She said that before any fulfillment of a vision there will be a death to that vision. It seems like a three-step process.

It starts with the birth of a vision.  God birth within us a vision. Then there will seem to be a death to that vision.   We may encounter many difficulties and “fruitlessness” for a long time. It may seem as if God’s promise will never be fulfilled. This is a time of re-definition. From this process, we realize that God is responsible for the results, not us. God refines our motive. After which, God will supernaturally revive the vision. The “death of the vision” allows God to implement his idea his way.

I thought that this is quite true. It seems consistent in the lives of the heroes in the Bible and in my life as well. Thus don’t give up during dry times or when there seems to be a dead-end to the vision because the fruit is just around the corner.

chileee..

I’m leaving for Chile in June! The reality of going is sinking in more & more. It seems not long ago when i was discussing with ps jeff about this and now, i will be going in 9 weeks! Experiencing many mixed emotions. I know that I will miss my friends and family members.

Last week, after i announced to all the CLs that I would be leaving, I was filled with a sense of sadness that I will not see be able to see them for quite some time. I’ve been in this ministry for over 10 years and now its time to say “good-bye”… *weep*..

But I’m really thankful to God for giving me a chance to serve in the youth.. the joy of seeing the youths grow up spiritually and physically… I can’t believe that I can do what I’m doing now too if God is not real in my life… And now I know that the NW are in good hands so it’s now time to move on to a new chapter in life 😀
